Cat-Man Comics #4, published by Holyoke Publishing in early 1942, is a shining example of the Golden Age of comic books. The series featured the superhero Cat-Man, created by writer and artist Charles M. Quinlan, with contributions from Irwin Hasen. In this issue, the main character, Cat-Man, secret identity David Merryweather, continues his crime-fighting adventures. Cat-Man, who was raised by a tigress in Burma after his parents were killed, gains enhanced abilities and senses akin to those of a cat. He returns to America to fight crime, donning a costume inspired by his jungle upbringing.
